CORONAVIRUS UPDATE 7/6/2021
The programs of Eastern Area Adult Services are operating on a regular schedule with the exception of the Senior Centers. On July 6, 2021, the Turtle Creek Center began a phased reopening detailed in the July 2021 newsletter found on the news page of this website. The Braddock Hills and Swissvale Centers remain closed. Meals on Wheels consumers have been notified of the revised meal delivery schedule. Be aware that our status may change. We will communicate any changes here as well as directly to those who utilize our services. Email [email protected] with any questions.
Eastern Area Adult Services (EAAS) was established in 1972, with the opening of the first senior center in Allegheny County in Turtle Creek. EAAS is a recognized leader in achieving a positive impact on the lives of seniors in Allegheny County.
A highly trained, experienced, and dedicated staff delivered 210,944 units of service last year, whether in the senior centers that the agency oversees, in a person’s own home, or in our central offices.
Eastern Area Adult Services is a fee for service organization. For individuals who cannot afford the fees that accompany some services, EAAS seeks funding from the Allegheny County Area Agency on Aging, local foundations, and individual donors so that a limited amount of service can be provided at no charge.
A volunteer Board of Directors governs EAAS.
